OBDeleven provides comprehensive diagnostic functions including reading and clearing fault codes, live data streaming, and advanced adaptations. The system offers two primary ways to modify vehicle settings: through pre-programmed "One-Click Apps" or manual long coding for advanced users.

The Pro version unlocks full long coding capabilities, allowing users to make precise adjustments to vehicle modules. However, users should note that newer vehicles (2024 onwards) may have security limitations known as SFD2 that can restrict access to certain control units.

The OBDeleven mobile app provides an intuitive interface that makes complex vehicle diagnostics accessible to users with varying technical expertise. The One-Click Apps simplify common modifications like enabling Scandinavian DRLs, disabling start-stop functionality, or adjusting convenience features.

While the app is generally user-friendly, some advanced users note that the search functionality and long coding interface may not be as robust as dedicated professional tools like VCDS. The system sometimes displays only hex values in long coding where other tools might show descriptive function names.

OBDeleven supports a wide range of vehicle brands including Volkswagen Group vehicles (Audi, Seat, Cupra, Skoda, Volkswagen), BMW, Mini, Toyota, and Ford. The system requires Android 8.0+ or iOS 16.6+ devices and connects via Bluetooth for wireless operation.

A significant limitation affects newer vehicles (2024 onwards) that implement SFD2 security measures in compliance with UNECE R155 & R156 regulations. These security protocols may limit access to certain control units, though OBDeleven can still communicate with the main gateway and the company is working on full compatibility.
